So let’s start with a simple science lesson.

Everything that has matter conducts heat, including water, air, plastic, aluminum, and stainless steel.

A vacuum is created when all of the air is removed from a sealed object. In other words, a vacuum is a space that is empty of matter, and each Hydro Flask^® contains a vacuum seal between two walls of food-grade 18/8 stainless steel.

(If you’ve already figured out that a vacuum is a terrible heat conductor because it’s composed of almost nothing, you’re way ahead of “the other guys.”)

Our patent-pending double-wall vacuum insulation means that the temperature outside a Hydro Flask^® has a very hard time affecting the temperature of whatever you might put in it.
