Why should I buy a stainless steel Hydro Flask?

Whether the contents inside your Hydro Flask are hot coffee, cold beer, fresh squeezed juice or ice water, the flavors won’t linger or contaminate your next drink. That’s because Hydro Flask bottles are made with durable, food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, without any linings or coatings, so the bottle’s materials won’t leach into your drink and give it a metallic taste, and they’re 100% BPA-free and 100% recyclable. On top of all this, they will maintain their hot qualities for up to 12 hours and cold qualities for up to 24 hours.

In addition, for every Hydro Flask sold, we will donate 5% to a charity of your choice. Following a purchase, simply go to fivepercentback.org, choose from the list of available causes, and enter your bottle’s serial number.

What can I put in my Hydro Flask?

Juice, water, coffee, liquor, ice, warm beverages, cold beverages – any and all will taste great out of your Hydro Flask. Our bottles are made from 100% food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, so the flavor of your drink won’t linger and you won’t get a metallic taste from your bottle.

Stainless steel is not meant to rust or corrode, but it can happen under the right circumstances. Please note that juice or any acidic beverages can cause rust to develop over time. Make sure to care for your Hydro Flask bottle by washing and rinsing it after each use.

Can I put my Hydro Flask bottle in the freezer?

No, we do not recommend putting your Hydro Flask bottle in the freezer. Hydro Flasks are impervious to outside elements, so the freezer won't really have an effect on them. For maximum temperature efficiency, you can pre-cool and pre-warm your Hydro Flask. Simply place ice cubes, cold water or hot water in the bottle, replace the lid, and let stand for five to ten minutes before emptying it and refilling it with your beverage of choice.

Can I put my Hydro Flask bottle in the microwave?

No, your Hydro Flask should not go in the microwave, due to the fact that it is made of stainless steel. In general, we highly recommend using caution when drinking hot beverages directly from any of our products. Extremely hot liquids can scald the user. Also, keep your Hydro Flask product out of reach of small children when it contains warm to hot liquids.

Are your vacuum insulated bottles dishwasher safe?

We do not recommend putting your Hydro Flask bottles in the dishwasher. The best way to care for your Hydro Flask is to rinse it out with hot, soapy water after each use.

Our plastic caps, however, are top-rack dishwasher safe.

How should I clean my Hydro Flask?

We recommend washing all of your Hydro Flask products with hot, soapy water, rinsing well and air-drying with the cap off to ensure the maximum life of your container. If the bottle sits with liquid for an extended period of time, we recommend a soak of white vinegar with water or baking soda with water, scrubbing with a bristled dish brush and washing and rinsing normally.

Our plastic caps are dishwasher safe. If your bottle sits with liquid for an extended period of time, make sure to also soak the cap by following the instructions listed above.

What is the easiest way to buy a Hydro Flask?

To purchase a Hydro Flask, go to our Store Locator and enter your zip code to find retailers in your area. You can also purchase directly from our site through the Hydro Flask Shop Page or from another online vendor by googling “Hydro Flask.” It has also been said that Santa Claus will bring you a Hydro Flask if you are good.

Can I fly with my Hydro Flask?

Yes, you can take your Hydro Flask on both commercial and non-pressurized aircraft. Please be sure it is empty before passing through security. TSA WILL NOT allow any liquids to pass through in containers of more than 3.4 ounces.

Where are Hydro Flasks made?

Hydro Flasks are made in China. At Hydro Flask, we require each of the factories that we work with to operate ethically, fairly, and to treat all of their employees with the utmost respect and dignity. To that end, our management team makes regular quality assurance visits to our factories in Asia to ensure that our high standards are achieved. In addition, we are constantly looking for opportunities to improve and grow our fair labor program to influence both change and knowledge.

We work hard to make sure you receive only the highest quality stainless steel products that are built with the fairness, care, and dignity that can only come from someone proud to be a member of our extended family.

My Hydro Flask logo looks different. Is it counterfeit?

Most likely not. Chances are very good that your Hydro Flask is still the same high quality, high performing flask you’ve come to know and love. Look for the H-guy logo near the top of the bottle, along with the silver neck ring, to distinguish a true Hydro Flask. Please note that we have changed the markings near the bottom, however, as illustrated by the below chart, in addition to the neck ring height on Wide Mouth Hydro Flasks.

Returns

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return your order to Hydro Flask for a full refund with our 30-day return policy. There is no fine print or exceptions. All we ask is that you send the items back to us. Please see our Returns page if you wish to return a Hydro Flask product.

Can I ship to APO/FPO addresses?

Yes, but you will need to contact us directly for prices, times, and other logistics. Depending on the country, there may be extra costs due to customs, tariffs or taxes. Please email info@hydroflask.com or call (888) 584-9376 for a shipping quote.

Can I ship to international addresses?

Unfortunately, no. Hydro Flask does not currently ship to international destinations.

Can I ship my order to someone else or a different address?

Yes! Orders can be shipped to a different address other than the billing address. During the order process, you will be asked first for a billing address, then you will be given an option to “Ship to this address” or “Ship to a different address.”

How is the shipping cost determined?

Currently, our shipping is based on the following for the continental United States:

  • $14.00 and under - $1.99 shipping
  • $14.01 through $74.99 - $7.99 shipping
  • $75.00 and up - free shipping

If you are shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, the following applies:

  • $14.00 and under - $3.99 shipping
  • $14.01 and up - $10.99 shipping

What methods of payment does Hydro Flask accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo are also accepted. Unfortunately, checks and money orders are not accepted.

The address I typed is correct, but the website is not accepting it. What should I do?

Does the address you typed match the address on file with the credit card company? If you still encounter a problem after you’ve verified that the address matches, please call our Customer Care Center at 1-888-584-9376 for further assistance.

What do I do if my promotion code doesn’t work?

Verify that you entered the promotion code number exactly as shown, without spaces. Additionally, verify the date you are using the promotion code falls into the applicable date range. Once these are confirmed, if the problem persists, please contact our Customer Care Center directly at 1-888-584-9376.

Can I use a debit card?

Yes, debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo are accepted.

Why does my credit card or debit card show two charges?

Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only temporary. When a purchase is made, an authorization charge is placed on credit/debit cards that temporarily holds funds on an account. This is not actually a charge on your card. Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account. The authorization is released at a maximum of 72 hours from the time of order.

How is sales tax calculated?

Good news! Oregon is one of only a couple states that doesn’t charge a sales tax.

How long will my order take to arrive (including processing and shipping)?

We make the best effort to process orders as quickly as possible. Most orders are processed within three business days.

Delivery times vary depending on FedEx and USPS. Typically, orders arrive within 7 to 10 business days of shipping.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order ships, we'll send you an email with the shipping and tracking information. Using the tracking number(s) provided, you can track you order by visiting the FedEx or USPS website to follow your new Hydro Flask on its journey from our warehouse to your destination. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us.

How do I care for my bottle?

Hydro Flask bottles come with a one hundred year warranty or a single lifetime, whichever comes first. If you follow a few simple maintenance steps, you can increase the longevity of your bottle while ensuring every sip you take from your Hydro Flask is just as clean and pure as the first.

Before Initial Use: Wash with hot, soapy water and baking soda, secure the lid, shake and rinse.

After Every Use: Rinse with warm, soapy water and baking soda if you prefer. Then air-dry the Hydro Flask with the lid off of the bottle.

Occasional Maintenance: You can use 3 tablespoons baking soda and ½ cup of vinegar to clean your flask. The flasks are made from 18/8 food grade stainless steel, so the abrasive baking soda will not damage the inside of the flask and will not retain the vinegar taste or smell.

We at Hydro Flask are strong believers in taking care of each other and the environment in which we live. Through 5% Back, Hydro Flask offers you an opportunity to give back to the greater community by choosing a charity to donate five percent of the net profit of your Hydro Flask purchase.

Why did 5% Back change charities?

In 2013, we streamlined the charity acceptance process to make it more effective for the involved charities and more reflective of Hydro Flask’s mission for charitable giving. These changes included a smaller number of charities that work on a national or global level.

Does 5% Back offer international charities?

Yes. Surfrider Foundation, World Wildlife Foundation, Habitat for Humanity International, charity:water and Special Olympics work not only in the US, but on an international level.

How can I make a donation?
