I had a flip lid before for coffee and things like that but the little rubber inside broke so I needed a new one. I decided on a straw lid because I really wanted to try it. It came with 2 straws and I honestly love it. Really easy to use and gives you a better way to hold it.

I only wish they would make a 24 or 26 oz wide mouth that is narrow and easy to handle . Put the wide mouth on the standard side bottles, really it will sell much more, not every body has large hands.

My lid does not leak at all and I love the blue with my grey flask. I keep it in my back pack and it does tip over, but it has always been dry when I find it on its side. My only concern is that the loop on the handle is slightly too small for my finger(s); only made for one finger, but sometimes it gets heavy so i want to use 2 and I cannot. Overall, I have been pleased with this product.

Honestly i wasn’t expecting the straw to last any longer than a week because of previous experiences with other companies, but my straw is working awesome! I’m a cano counselor and i often clip in a carabiner to my bottle. This cap has the perfect size hole for your finger and even my clip. Often times i find my Hydroflask in the car faced down and no water has leaked from the straw lid! Overall very durable and convenient!

  • Odd question - if you remove straw from wide mouth straw lid, can you get adequate "pouring" from tilted up spout w/out spilling? I'm unable to get suction on a straw but need mouthpiece to drink from like a kids sippy cup. Looks like this might work.

    I purchased a hydro flask off amazon, the 40 oz wide mouth straw lid, the mouth piece on this is a hard plastic, vs the rubber mouth piece that was on my old straw top 40 oz hydro flask, was there a change made in the lids, both say hydro flask on them.

    Is this product supposed to leak? I saw 180 1 stars and 188 5 stars. To me that’s not too good. If it does leak, will it be covered by warranty? Also will it fit a 64oz flask?

    I have had mine for a couple of months and have had absolutely no issue with it leaking, I throw it in my bag and sometimes in the back of my suv on its side and not a drop has leaked out.

    Does this come with t he STRAW that is inserted into the mouthpiece & goes to the inside of the bottle? If so, why wouldnt you show that?? I can't order until I find that out.

    The Wide Mouth Hydro Flip Lid and Wide Mouth Straw Lids are NOT advertised as leak proof, and there is potential for dripping if overturned or shaken. If transporting your flask in a situation where it may not remain upright or could be jostled, we recommend using a sealed lid such as the Flex Cap.
